WELCOME: 

We are a new privately owned distributorship with a very long history! 

We are the result of a merger of the Smith Chemical Division (an 85 year old distributor), and the Jesse S. Young Co. (a 50 year old distributor).  The employees and management teams of both companies are now part of SmithChem & Young, LLC.  We represent the same raw material and equipment manufacturers that we handled prior to the merger. 

Our dedicated, experienced and knowledgeable sales and office staff services the Northeast through the Mid-Atlantic Regions.  We offer an extensive line of resins, extenders, pigments, additives, chemical specialties and equipment to the Paint and Coatings, Printing Ink, Plastics, Adhesives, Textile, Food, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Industries.

Smithchem & Young is a specialty distributor of raw materials,  chemicals and equipment for use in Coatings, plastics & rubber, inks, building materials, adhesives, personal care and related industries.  We are committed to providing exceptional value and  services to our customers and principals as a result of our close partnerships as well as our experience and knowledge of the industries we serve.
